Punjab Boards Approve New Digital Result Card System for Students

Punjab Boards Approve New Digital Result Card System for Students

All nine educational boards in Punjab have approved a new digital result card system to help students access their exam records online.

Key Features of the Digital Result Card

All nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Punjab are moving away from relying only on traditional printed marksheets. Under the approved policy, matriculation and intermediate students will be able to access verified digital result cards online.

The digital result cards will be available on official board platforms and will include:

  • Student Metadata: Full student name, roll number, class or program (such as FA, FSc, ICS, or Matriculation), pass/fail status, total marks obtained, and overall grade.
  • Instant Verification: A digital badge confirming that the academic record is authentic and issued directly by the board.
  • Easy Access: A direct “Download Result Card” option optimized for both smartphone screens and desktop computers.

Main Benefits for Students

The new online system aims to simplify document verification and storage for candidates across the province:

  • Instant Access: Students can view their marks immediately when results are announced, eliminating long waiting periods for physical delivery.
  • Safe Record Keeping: Digital records reduce the risk of lost, stolen, or damaged paper documents.
  • On-Demand Printing: Students can download or print their verified credentials whenever they need them for college admissions or employment applications.
  • Faster Board Operations: Digital issuance reduces paper processing times for educational authorities.

Coverage Across Punjab Boards

The uniform approval applies to all nine divisional boards across the province:

  • BISE Lahore
  • BISE Faisalabad
  • BISE Multan
  • BISE Rawalpindi
  • BISE Gujranwala
  • BISE Sahiwal
  • BISE Sargodha
  • BISE Bahawalpur
  • BISE D.G. Khan

Implementation Timeline and Next Steps

While the policy has been approved by all nine boards, operational schedules will vary. Students, parents, and school heads should note that exact launch dates, login procedures, and downloading guidelines will be released through individual board notifications. The procedures will become final only after the respective board issues its official public announcement.
